Synopsis

Yesterday, Nothing In My Life Changed follows Miles, a taxi driver and husband who, after the passing of a dear friend, fights to hold onto his dream of being a musician and his own happiness. He forms an unlikely friendship with Lana, the niece of his recently deceased friend, lost in her own right, as the pair form a musical duo and try to score a record deal.

Director’s note

Shot over two and a half weeks in western Massachusetts while living in campsites and a train museum, this film explores characters’ messy emotions: it creates a world where people are unsure of their own emotions and even more unsure of how to express and deal with them. Characters contradict themselves, lash out, stumble over their words, laugh when they’re meant to cry, and cry when they’re meant to smile all in misguided and misconstrued attempts to connect with each other and deal with how they’re feeling.
